SOLUTIONS//OVERVIEW

We will first start off by separating our products into 2 main categories. This will quickly help you to determine what will be best suited for your specific need or application. In short, solutions for improving cellular reception are either wireless or hardwired. So depending on what you would like to accomplish, there is a solution that can be tailored to your needs.

It is important, however, that you understand the limitations and advantages of each category and how this will influence the solution we recommend to you. It is a given that everyone wants a solution that improves their cellular reception wirelessly (no wires connected), but due to the laws of physics governing this technology together with cost, the effective and efficient use of a wireless signal is not always possible or practical.

As our valued customer, you can be assured that we will always do our best to accomplish your requirements in the most cost effective way.

WIRELESS SOLUTIONS//OVERVIEW

A Cellular Repeater is a device that is designed to pick up the outdoor reception from a service provider’s cell tower, amplify and filter it, and then wirelessly re-broadcast it to the area you would like to improve reception for.

A Cellular Repeater is usually sold as a complete kit which consists of the following main components:

  • Donor Antenna – (Antenna that receives the signal)
  • Coaxial Cable – (Cable from Donor Antenna to Cellular Repeater)
  • Cellular Repeater - ( Receive, filter and amplify cellular signal)
  • Indoor Service Antenna - (Antenna that transmits the amplified signal)

Note: For large building applications, additional equipment would be required.

Data Needed to Select Suitable Product:

  • How large is the area I need to cover? – (Square footage of area and how many floors)
  • Do I have access to the roof to install the donor antenna? – (If not, where else can it be installed?)
  • How strong or weak is my outdoor reception? – (Marginal, very weak, none for several miles - number of bars)
  • Which service provider do I need to support? – (One or multiple)
  • What frequency do they operate on? - (Online Resource)
  • What is the type of application? – (Residential or Commercial)

For residential applications in excess of 10,000 sq ft, or commercial applications in excess of 20,000 sq ft, we typically request a floor plan sketch of the area you would like to provide coverage for. You will also need to identify your access point to the roof for the donor antenna coax feed and if there is a specific room you would like to house the base repeater unit in (Communications or Electrical). From this, our team will then design a wiring diagram of the proposed system and super-impose it onto the floor plan. There is a small fee charged to cover the time and expertise spent working on your project. The great news is that if you choose to go with our solution you will receive a full refund of this fee.

JDTECK has worked on schematics for defense agencies, celebrity homes, banks, dignitaries, and many other sensitive locations with no compromise. You can be assured that you are working with a loyal partner.

HARDWIRED SOLUTIONS//OVERVIEW

The basic concept of a signal booster is similar in function to that of a cellular repeater in that it is also designed to pick up the reception from a service provider’s cell tower and amplify it. In this case, however, the signal booster needs to be physically connected to the device you are trying to boost the reception of by means of a coaxial cable.

The signal booster itself is a very small amplifier about the size of the palm of your hand and weighs only 9.2 oz. A signal booster is also sold as a complete kit which consists of the following main components:

  • Donor Antenna – (Usually a small magnetic base antenna supplied with coax)
  • Signal Booster – (Small Amplifier)
  • Power Supply – (12v Cigarette Lighter or AC/DC )
  • Signal Lead – (Connects Signal Booster to your Device)
  • RF Adapter – (Either an 18 inch cable that connects at the end of Signal Lead to device or an RF Adapter)

Note: Custom applications may require alternative components.

Data Needed to Select Suitable Product:

  • What type of device do I need to boost the reception of? – (Wireless Modem / Radio, Mobile Phone or PC Card)
  • Where will it be used? – (Counter Top use or Internal Integration?)
  • Is my location very remote? – (May Require High Gain Donor Antenna)
  • Do I need to boost more than one device? – (Signal Splitter Options)
  • In which country is the Signal Booster going to be used? –
    (USA – 800/1900  | EU - 900/1800 or 900/2100)
  • Would I need to move my Signal Booster location to location? – (Accessories are availabe for your convenience)
